Introduction
Mas Montserrat

History:Mas de Monserrat is a 19th century country manor house that has been totally restored but with the charm of houses of yesteryear and with decorating all its own, mixing rural ambiance with quality and comfort.

Services: El Mas is composed of 2 suites and 7 double bedrooms, all climate controlled, with full bath, hydro-massage, individual heat and television. Our facilities are also equipped with a tennis court, pool, meeting rooms and lots of places where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the country.

We make a variety of body and beauty treatments available to you, and if you like, you can partake in numerous outdoor activities, such as hiking, bicycle touring (there are several routes, including la Vía Augusta el Camino de Santiago, which run through Mas de Monserrat ), paintball, rock climbing and extreme sports. We also organise visits and wine tasting to area wineries, such as “Celler del Roure”, “Heretat de Taverners”, “Los Frailes” and “Pago de Casa Gran”. See the activities schedule for the different times of the year.

So that your stay will really be satisfying, we recommend that you try our restaurant. We offer traditional and market gastronomy where you can savour everything from typical moixentins gazpachos to all types of rice, fish and meats. Made on a wood stove grill, they will take you back to enjoying the flavours of yesteryear.

MOIXENT

El Mas de Monserrat is in Moixent (Valencia), one of the most important towns of la Costera. It is located 31 Km. from Xátiva, 33 Km. from Almansa and about 76 Km. from Valencia, well connected to the cities of Valencia and Madrid by highway and train.

The town of Moixent is of great touristic interest. You can visit “El Bosquet”, the Iberian village of “Les Alcusses”, where the world famous “Warrior from Moixent” was found, a necropolis, and a treasure found in the district of Garamoisent of singular importance consisting of Roman pieces, drachmas minted in Ampurias... We can also find numerous caves with cave paintings. Among the city's principal monuments is the Roman bridge on Calle la Cadena, the Castillo Musulmán from the Almohade period, La Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol church, unique for its strange bell tower and the Hermitage of Santas Reliquias.

Moixent celebrates festivals of the greatest variety throughout the year, such as tthe one during Holy Week, with Brotherhoods and Cappuchine monks. The celebration of San Pedro Apóstol is noteworthy on 29 June and the festivities at the end of August, the heiffers and "toro embolado" ("bull in balls") spectacles being typical. The weekend before the festivals begin, another great tradition is celebrated at la Casa Rabosa and honours the saints Abdón and Senté.
